True Graves was born on May 21st 1990 in Odessa, Texas where he attended Odessa Permian High School and Graduated in 2009.  True is born and raised in Odessa by his parents and is very close to his sister.  A true family bond, no pun intended, True is very close to his sister and now has a niece he spends as much time as possible with.  Many times you can find his Father on his bag now in events supporting him in every way possible.

While at Odessa Permian True had a very successful career as a student athlete graduating at the top of his class as a Texas Scholar and earning Varsity Honors all 4 years on the golf team during his tenure.  True was voted Team Captain his Sophmore year and continued his position as Captain through his Senior year.  In 2008, True was crowned the District Champion with a Tournament total of 291, bestering the field by several shots.  While traveling on to the Regional Tournament he earned Honors on the All-Region Team.  Following his wonderful 2008 season True continued his success in 2009 with a runner-up finish in the District Tournament and also the Regional Tournament.  At Regionals the only player to beat True was none other than Jordan Spieth who beat him in a playoff.

True began his college career by accepting a scholarship to Texas State University located in San Marcos, Texas.  He played there from 2010 till 2012, qualifying for 7 events his Freshman year.  He was the sole Freshman to accomplish qualifying and earned a Top 15 spot in the Southland Conference Tournament.  Following 2 years at Texas State True decided to move closer to family and attend Odessa Junior College and won the Sand Creek National Preview in Kansas.  He was selected to play on the United States World Collegiate Team in the Czech Republic in 2013 where he was 6-under and Top 20 Finish.

True finished his college career by obtaining a Degree in Business Management from University of Texas at Permian Basin in 2015.

True started his professional career in 2016 by joingin the APT tour and playing numerous other events across the country including State Opens and Monday Qualifiers. True attended Web.com Qualifying School in 2017 only falling short by 1 shot.  He plans to attend PGA Tour Canada and PGA Latin American Qualifying School in 2017.
